We are honored to have joined Microsoft at the Xbox Africa Games Week in Cape Town — what an amazing experience! Africa Games Week 2025 took place from 1–4 December at Workshop 17, V&A Waterfront, bringing together innovators, creators, and game enthusiasts from across Africa.
This year’s edition marked a milestone: the first ever “Africa Games Week Awards” were held on the final day, celebrating outstanding African game developers in categories such as African Game of the Year, Social Impact Award, and Audience Choice. GamesMarket

For Xbox fans, the highlight was the launch of the latest edition of Xbox Game Camp Africa. The 2025 camp kicks off on 4 December in Cape Town, offering a 12‑week virtual mentorship program that helps African game studios go from ideas to fully working prototypes — with guidance from Team Xbox and in collaboration with ID@Xbox.
